Join Us for an Open Government Hackathon

The hackathon had ended! Thanks to everyone who attended!

In conjunction with Code for America, Sunlight Labs is hosting a hackathon at RubyConf 2010 in New Orleans, November 11 to 13. Join us to learn more about the open government movement, and what you can do as a software developer to make city, state, and federal governments more open and work more effectively.

We'll have a wide range of projects for you to work on: focusing on the U.S. Congress, the City of New Orleans, and all levels of government in between.

The hackathon will be open beginning at 12 noon every day of the conference. All conference attendees are welcome. During the early evening hours of the first two days, after the main conference sessions are over, we'll be hosting 20-minute talks in the hackathon room. Drinks and snacks are graciously sponsored by Tropo.

Schedule

The hackathon room will be located upstairs from the conference halls at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. Just look for the signs! Snacks and drinks will be available during the evening presentations. We're collaborating via TypeWith.Me.
