Recovery Review is a visualization and crowd source project for providing maximum transparency to the data provided as part of the The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, commonly known as the economic stimulus. Created for the Sunlight Foundation “Design For America” contest, this application allows users to search and visualize the data. It also give users the ability to “flag” data that they think is inaccurate and provide reasons they think this is the case as well as URLs to news articles or blog posts that might have more information about a given project.
My hope with this project is to create a communal space where the scope and detail of the stimulus can be understood and to provide an opportunity for some more detailed metadata about specific stimulus projects.
