- Description
HEAR ME SAY THIS uses the Sunlight Labs API, the Twitter API and open standards for voice applications to let citizens record messages in their own voice for members of Congress.
Recording a message for the members of Congress that represent you is as easy as making a phone call. HEAR ME SAY THIS uses the Sunlight Labs API to determine which members of Congress represent your zip code.
When your message is recorded, it is sent to your representatives using the Twitter API. Members of Congress receive your message as a Twitter @reply. If a member representing you does not yet use Twitter, a simple to find #hashtag is inserted into the Twitter message. This makes it easy to use Twitter’s powerful search feature to find messages that have been sent to your representatives in Congress.
There’s never been a better way to get your message, in your voice, directly to the people that represent you in Congress.
